Top Ten Easy To Make Healthy Snacks

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 12:00 am

Children need better nutrition these days. It is up to the parents or care providers to provide and teach children to pick out healthy nutritious snacks. Adults can also benefit from these top ten nutritious snacks.

To keep children from running to the cupboard and refrigerator all day, buy a large plastic jug with a wide opening. Have the child decorate the jug with their own ideas using stickers, put their name on it and call it their own personal snack jar. The jug may have to be kept in the refrigerator if it has perishables in it.

Rules are, only three snacks per day and only from their personal stash. The jug may have to be kept in the refrigerator if it has perishables in it.

Depending on the age of the child, go shopping with them to fill the jar with snacks to last until the next shopping trip. An idea of some of the top ten healthy nutritious snacks would be bananas, cantaloupe or watermelon pieces, a bran muffin, carrot sticks, string cheese, a cup of yogurt, granola bars, cheese and crackers, tuna salad snack pack, chicken salad snack pack, boxes of raisins, and packages of nuts.
